Smoking is harmful to your freedom

Story: Communist homosexual drama nerds put up funny, yet slightly anti-Bush (because they portray Bush as Groucho Marx), posters to advertise their upcoming satirical production, “The Complete History of America (Abridged).” One upstanding patriotic-9/11-Never-Forget-America-Fuck-Yeah!-Passion-Peace-Through-Strength student complains about the posters, causing the principal to order the posters taken down “on grounds that they promoted smoking and ‘endorsing one ideology over another.’” Promoted smoking. Brilliant!

I wonder if my high school would have stopped playing the “Piano Man” at events if I complained about how much it upset me.

The clever, although they be communist and homosexual, drama nerds replaced the posters with new designs featuring “a silhouette of Bush and a burning cigar, along with inscriptions such as ‘Free Expression for All (unless you are in high school)’ and ‘What First Amendment?’”

What First Amendment indeed.

From O’Reilly’s website “memo“:

For the record, Dean knows nothing about me. I’ve never spoken to the man, but he consistently takes allegations and defamation, and asserts they’re fact. It does not get any lower than that.

From Wonkette:

“Nor do I think Bill O’Reilly is in a position to abuse families of survivors of 9/11, given his own ethical shortcomings.”
Howard Dean

“Dean’s assertion yesterday that I had done damage to the families of 9/11 victims is simply bizarre.”
Bill O’Reilly
The O’Reilly Factor

“Get out of my studio before I tear you to fucking pieces!”
Bill O’Reilly to Jeremy Glick whose
father died in the WTC attack

I’m almost positive that Dean was on the O’Reilly Fucktor early in the campaign, pre-John Kerry joining the race I think. I’m still looking for proof, even though I am probably mistaken because O’Reilly never lies.

In the “memo,” O’Reilly calls Dean a “cowardly guttersnipe.” I’m not sure what that means, but it sounds like something O’Reilly does with his wife.

I can’t lie, I was looking forward to the “Nuclear” option. I wanted to see how far the Repugs would go to ruin this country. This compromise is only a win for the centrists in the Senate (which unfortunately includes about 38 Democratic Senators). Feingold knows the score, as usual, I just wish that his colleagues weren’t a bunch of pussies.

To steal from a film critic reviewing Alone in the Dark, this “win” for the Dems is “akin to praising syphilis for not being HIV.”

Well, as long as James Dobson is mad, I’m happy.

Pants on fire.

I was sick of the Tillman coverage soon after his death. It was as if the greatest and bravest American ever to have lived was killed while laying waste to a squadron of Taliban fighters and carrying his entire wounded unit on his back despite his own injuries. Well, actually he just got shot in the back by his friends. Oops. Apparently Jack Nicholson as Col. Nathan R. Jessep was right, we can’t handle the truth.

Bravo to Tillman’s parents for the big “Fuck You.”

This administration needs a hero. Just look at Jessica Lynch. All that bitch did was not die. She was honest, though, and eschewed her heroine status, to the chagrin of the Pentagon’s marketing team.

Back to the drawing board guys. Maybe free t-shirts will help you recruit because guys like those two dickheads from Fahrenheit 9/11 clearly aren’t getting the job done (unless, of course, the job is felching each other).
