Looks like Bill Maher is the only one left who actually cares about belitttling the right. Jon Stewart loves to make his jokes but when Zen Miller and Rick Santorum are on his show, all he does is kiss ass.

After watching his interview with Bernie Goldberg, in which he made the guy look like a complete fool, I was disappointed by Stewart’s interview of Santorum. Santorum was able to come off as a moderate, which is laughable. I know it’s not Stewart’s job to be a real journalist but a question about http://www.spreadingsantorum.com would have been hilarious.
Generally it’s pretty sad that we have to rely on Bill Maher and Jon Stewart to be the ones openly critical of dickheads like Santorum. The Right has no shortage of (supposedly legitimate, like Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity) people ready to attack Hillary and Michael Moore as extremists.
Bernie Goldberg on the Donnie Deutsch show. I wish someone had said that they didn’t read his book because they didn’t want to give money to fucking assholes like Goldberg. “Your book is below me.”—-how’s that for cultural elitism?

I watched the interview with Santorum and although he didn’t attack him as much as I would’ve liked, I certainly don’t think he was even close to kissing ass. I think Stewart’s method is to lure these people into saying bat-shit-crazy things on their own. He can’t just invite them on the show and the bash the fuck out of them because then we would never see any conservatives on the show. That would be pretty boring.

Fair enough. But I don’t know how Stewart can sit there and say with straight face. “Well I guess we will never agree but you are a good man”. It’s one thing to say that to a moderate conservative and its another thing to say that to Rick “!@#!@#$@!$” Santorum. This guy is amongst the worst of the lot .. up there with Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and the Jesus Christ superstars.
