It’s one thing to believe that an absurd idea like abstinence-only education works, but when you mix in outrageous lies you’re doing unmistakeable harm. Representative Waxman (D-Calif) has released a report that discusses some of the lies that are being taught to the nation’s children under the guise of “sex education.” NOW has a good overview of the report here.
Among these inaccuracies are reports that a pregnancy occurs one out of every seven times that couples use condoms. One curriculum states that 5 to 10 percent of women who have legal abortions will become sterile.
